Today has been my birthday so I spent it with family, and enjoyed a lovely Indian take-away rather than cooking.

UsuallyIMG_20170218_002022663.jpg on birthdays, we would have plain white basmati rice, with yellow dhal on top, and finally topped off with prawn or fish patia. Then for dessert it would be ravo. But as mentioned, I wasn’t cooking today so I’ll experiment with those recipes another time.

The additional good news is that tomorrow we’re heading back to my parents’ home and I’ll be watching how my mum cooks the meal mentioned above. Obviously looking forward to eating it too.

So just a short blog post for now and a chance to show off the personalised apron that my work pals gave me as a present.
